Bridge Program 2024

Zero Robotics Internship

Over the summer of 2024, in partnership with the Innovation Learning Center and MIT Media Lab, our Bridge students had the exciting opportunity to intern at MIT Zero Robotics in Cambridge, MA, where they gained invaluable, hands-on experience in robotics and programming. The internship was comprised of the following:

Robotics Internship
Lectures

Participants attend various lectures, including RSI seminars, thesis defences, and PhD student presentations, covering a range of topics to help foster curiosity within STEM.

Robotics Internship
Leadership

Participants attended workshops that focused on leadership and development skills, along with practical applications in real-world settings.

Robotics Internship
Learning

Participants learned about and engaged in various topics, including research, resumes, college preparation, and coding in Zero Robotics.

Throughout their internship, the students participated in several ISS test sessions, assuming the role of the initial test team and serving as beta testers for the robotics game. They provided valuable feedback on potential improvements, brainstormed coding solutions, and helped organize Field Day. Additionally, they demonstrated peer-to-peer leadership by guiding middle schoolers through various activities, fostering an atmosphere of mentorship and collaboration.
